    Kai Havertz is approaching Germany's European Championship campaign with plenty of confidence after he scored the winner in Chelsea's 1-0 win over Manchester City in the Champions League final.

    "Of course it gives you confidence," Havertz said at a press conference on Friday.

    "I'm a player that needs that self belief, that's when I'm at my best. Confidence always helps you and I will go into the Euros full of it.

    "I'm a creative player and feel at home in the final third. I think the coach pictures my role much in the same way I do. I hope that I can play my part to help us win games and get far in the tournament," said Havertz.

    Havertz, 21, has made 12 appearances for Germany so far, scoring three goals.
