Bayer Leverkusen have secured the signing of 16-year-old youth prospect Zidan Sertdemir from Danish side FC Nordsjælland on a deal until 2024.

The Danish under-17 international will play for Leverkusen's under-19 team, but will spend the pre-season with the first team.

"Zidan Sertdemir is blessed with a special talent. His signing is a great success for our scouting department, which had him on its radar for about three years," said Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes.

"We see great potential in Zidan and believe he will make his mark in professional football. That's why we're taking him straight into training with our senor team.

"Zidan should get an early taste of what it's like to play with the professionals and be introduced to the highest level in peace and quiet."
