Nmecha confirms Anderlecht departure amid Bundesliga links

Lukas Nmecha has confirmed he's leaving Anderlecht amid speculation over a move to the Bundesliga.
Lukas Nmecha has taken to Instagram to confirm his departure from Belgian side Anderlecht, where he spent the 2020/21 season on loan from Manchester City.

The 22-year-old striker, who recently won the UEFA European Under-21 Championship with Germany, stated:

"I've had a fantastic year at Anderlecht and loved every second. The manager, players and fans have been great to me. Anderlecht will always be in my heart and I'll always be grateful. But I have to move on. Thank you."

According to Belgian newspapers Het Lattste Nieuws and Heu Nieuwsblad, Nmecha is heading to Germany.

Nmecha recently admitted that he would be keen on a return to his home country, telling Sport Bild that it's a dream of his to play in the Bundesliga.

With one year left on his contract, Manchester City are demanding a reported €10 million for the forward.
