"Robert combines speed, strength, and footballing ability," HSV sporting director Michael Mutzel noted in a statement, "he is experienced in the second division and, at 27-years-of-age, is still capable of developing. He also possesses strong character and will accordingly enhance the structure of the team."
Glatzel's task is by no means an easy one. The departing Terodde, a 2. Bundesliga legend of sorts, netted 24 goals in the just completed campaign. At present, it is unclear whether Hamburg has either the will or the capital to bring in another striker.
Karlsruhe's Phillip Hofmann and FC Copenhagen's Mikkel Kaufmann remain linked with 2. Bundesliga clubs seeking to augment their attack.
