Germany coach Joachim Löw is glad to have advanced to the Euro 2020 knockout stages after a 'nervy' 2-2 draw with Hungary.

"We showed great morale, but we also made mistakes. It was good to see that we fought hard until we got the equaliser. It was a nervy match," said Löw after the game.

"We knew Hungary would give it their all. I am just happy we got through in this group. All the 'small' teams invest so much work and defend well. Hungary played with ten men in their own half and they had nothing to lose," added the Germany coach, who is now looking forward to facing England in the last 16 on Tuesday.

"It's great that we got through in this tough group. Now we can look forward to a match against England."
