Report: Frankfurt eye move for Verona's Czech midfielder

Czech Republic midfielder Antonin Barak has gained attention from Germany.
The versatile Hellas Verona centre-half is reportedly being linked with Eintracht Frankfurt, according to Italian newspaper L’Árena. The outlet states that he can been contact by Die Adler management for a potential move to the Bundesliga.

26-year-old Barak is a flexible midfielder capable of donning multiple roles in the final-third.

He was on-loan at Verona during the 2020/21 Serie A season, before which was loaned out to Lecce for the 2019/20 season, from parent club Udinese. Udinese sold Barak to Hellas Verona for €6m.

According to transfermarkt, Barak is worth around the €15m mark, but Verona are said to demand nothing less than €20m.

Frankfurt are still in the dark regarding Andre Silva’s future after the Portuguese striker has repeatedly been linked to top clubs such as Real Madrid and RB Leipzig.

In order to fund further transfers, they will need to cash in on existing players.
