Naldo reacts to criticism from former coach: 'He should shut up!'

Schalke 04 veteran Naldo has hit back at former coach Markus Weinzierl.
A few days ago, Markus Weinzierl criticised Schalke 04, saying his former club's playing style is too defensive before seemingly questioning 36-year-old Naldo's importance in the team.

"It's the question if it's promising for the future to only think defensively or to tailor your style of play to a 36-year-old," Weinzierl told Sport.de.

Weinzierl's comments has enraged Naldo who says the 43-year-old, who has been without a job since he was sacked by Schalke in June 2017, should focus on finding a new employer.

"I think what he said was disrespectful. He should shut up and find a job," Naldo told Bild.

"He should mind his own business. He needs to find a team instead of talking about us," the centre-back said.

Apparently, the fact that Weinzierl didn't dare to say Naldo's name added extra fuel to the fire.

"If he wants to do that, he should also say the name - just like I said I was talking about Markus Weinzierl now. I also have a name: Ronaldo Aparecido Rodrigues, and I'm called Naldo," the Schalke defender said.

Naldo has played for Schalke since 2016. Last season, he made 34 Bundesliga appearances and scored seven goals.
