Leverkusen announced on Saturday that Leon Bailey is on his way to Aston Villa, with the two clubs having agreed on a transfer fee of a reported €30-35 million.
According to Bild, 'Die Werkself' could spend some of that cash to sign Sargent, who would cost around €10 million, according to reports.
Meanwhile, Leverkusen are being linked with a move for PSG's Thilo Kehrer by French journalist Saber Desfarges and German football magazine Kicker.
The 24-year-old former Schalke 04 defender, who is capable of playing as a right-back and in the central defense, has reportedly been targeted as 'Die Werkself' look to strengthen their backline.
Kehrer still has two years left on his contract with PSG and has a market value of €25 million, according to Transfermarkt.
Another name making the rounds in this regard is Piero Hincapié, who plays for Argentinian side CA Talleres. The 19-year-old Ecuadorian is a flexible defender, who can play on the left and as a centre-back.
