O'Fallon Missouri's Josh Sargent now belongs to the Canaries of the English Premiership. Norwich City officially announced the finalization of the transfer on Monday evening.

British broadcaster Sky reports that the final transfer fee ended up being €9.5 million. Presumably factoring in bonuses, Germany's Sport Bild most recently re-reported the €11 million figure earlier in the day. The actual fee, along with potential bonuses, cannot be confirmed at this time.

"There will always be a special place in my heart for Bremen," Sargent said in a released statement, "I made my professional debut in front of the Werder fans and will never forget that. I thank everyone for being part of my journey."

Bremen sporting director Frank Baumann released his own statement, in which he referenced the weekend's highly disappointing first-round domestic cup exit at the hands of VfL Onsnabrück.

"Naturally, it was irritating for us that Josh opted not to play in the cup for us," Baumann noted, "Even though Josh's departure is a loss for us in sporting terms, the transfer was necessary at this time and an important part of our economic consolidation. We wish Josh all the best both personally and professionally."

Still likely to continue to take heat for not completing more outgoing transfers earlier, Baumann once again emphasized that he had to wait in order to get a suitable offer for his American striker.

"We could have sold Josh much earlier, but the transfer fee would have been significantly lower," Baumann noted again.
