Reports: PSG decline to sell Simons, Leipzig work on new loan deal

Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano and Sky Germany's Philipp Hinze both report that PSG and RB Leipzig have ruled out a permanent move for Dutch phenom Xavi Simons.

The German Red Bulls are, according to both sources, fighting for a new loan arrangement ahead of the coming season.

RB Leipzig naturally wish to keep über-talented Dutch phenom Xavi Simons on their roster next season. The 21-year-old has played an incredible campaign for the German Red Bulls, scoring nine goals and collecting 16 assists in 41 appearances across all competitions. Despite the fact that both player and club wish to continue the arrangement, it is widely known that the player's current loan arrangement does not contain a purchase option.

Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano and Sky Germany's Philipp Hinze are currently reporting that Xavi's parent club PSG does not wish to sell him outright to Leipzig at a price that is within the realm of RB's budget. The attacker's estimated market worth has risen to €80 million this year. As a result, Leipzig are attempting to negotiate a renewed loan. Hinze and Romano also both report that Xavi will have a large say in where he plays next season.
