RN Report: Reyna remains without prospects in Dortmund

North-Rhine Westphalia's Ruhr Nachrichten newspaper reports that Borussia Dortmund will once again be shopping U.S. international Giovanni Reyna this summer following an unsuccessful loan-stint at Nottingham Forest.

Despite the fact that Dortmund opted to extend with Giovanni Reyna just prior to his recent loan-out to Nottingham Forest, North-Rhine Westphalia's "Ruhr Nachrichten" newspaper reports that the 21-year-old is not an active part of the BVB squad planning process this summer. Reyna logged just 230 minutes in nine appearances for the EPL outfit, registering only one assist. The "RN" claims that BVB trainer Edin Terzic maintains little interest in retaining him.

Prior to the completion of the loan deal, Dortmund were widely rumored to be negotiating Reyna's permanent sale. Another loan remains a possibility, but the Ruhrpott club may be eager to cash-in on the 26-times-capped USMNT international whilst they still can. Amid several injury-riddled years, Reyna's estimated market worth has declined from a peak of €42 million in 2021 to €18 million in the latest transfermarkt update.
