Svensson set to take over as Union coach, report claims

Sportbuzzer reports that Bo Svensson will be the new coach of Union Berlin.

Union Berlin appear to have found a replacement for Nenad Bjelica, who was sacked just before the end of the season.

According to Sportbuzzer, Bo Svensson will be the new coach of the German capital club, who narrowly escaped relegation from the Bundesliga this season.

Following talks between Union and the former Mainz coach in recent days, new managing director Horst Heldt has reportedly given the green light for the Dane to take over.

Bo Svensson was in charge of Mainz between January 2021 and November 2023. He achieved great results in his first two-and-a-half years in charge, but struggled to live up to expectations this season and eventually left by mutual consent.
