Ancelotti rules out Real Madrid move for Davies this summer
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has ruled out a move for Alphonso Davies this summer by saying the Spanish capital club's transfer window is closed.
For a while, Alphonso Davies was heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer, but the rumors have died down in recent weeks.
And following his side's Super Cup win over Atalanta on Wednesday, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti effectively ruled out the possibility of the Bayern Munich star arriving this summer.
"Our transfer window is closed. I am not going to ask for any signings," Ancelotti told a post-match press conference.
With just one year left on his current contract, Davies has so far failed to agree an extension with Bayern.
Negotiations are currently at a standstill, with the parties in disagreement over the player's wages.
