According to Sport Bild, Bayern Munich defender Kim Minjae is hoping to get a break from the starting line-up soon.

Per the German media outlet, the South Korea international is struggling with an Achilles tendon problem that is preventing him from playing at his best.

The 28-year-old has been complaining about the problem since Bayern's 3-3 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt in October.

Josip Stanisic, Hiroki Ito and Eric Dier are ready to step in alongside Dayot Upamecano should Vincent Kompany decide to rest Kim.

Kim has started all but two of Bayern's games this season. The Bavarians' next game is against Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday.
