Reports emerging this morning, 20 December, suggests Daniel Bauer will be promoted as permanent head coach at VfL Wolfsburg.
According to sources at BILD, the interim coach has already signed a long-term contract in the city of Wolfsburg.
The deal which is said to have been presented to the 43-year-old is expected to last for two or three years with the Autostadt club.
Bauer has been able to prove himself on the sidelines of the struggling Bundesliga side since the beginning of November.
VfL Wolfsburg has earned a respectable seven points from four league matches, largely thanks to wins over Union Berlin and Gladbach.
“The cohesion and the bond are extremely strong. We have ignited a fire in the club and in the city.
“We are on the right track, and I would like to continue this journey with the lads,” Bauer recently hinted in an interview.
