Niklas Süle could potentially leave Borussia Dortmund as early as this winter, if the latest rumours circulating are to be believed.

In it's edition today, the Gazzetta dello Sport mentions the central defender as a possible transfer target for AC Milan.

The Rossoneri are looking to strengthen their central defense and could therefore make a winter move for the 30-year-old.

Süle completed his first 90 minutes last night in a 2-0 win over Gladbach but the game won't change the fact he looks set to leave BVB.

After all, reports suggest the decision has already been made internally at the Westphalian club to not offer him a new contract.

However, Süle is still owed almost €7million by Dortmund before his contract expires – a salary level that AC Milan cannot match.

Should he move to Milan, Süle could meet up with his former teammate Niclas Füllkrug who is on the verge of a loan move to Italy.
