Borussia Dortmund will be without Felix Nmecha for the foreseeable future.
The Black and Yellows confirmed on Monday that the 25-year-old midfielder suffered a lateral ligament injury in Dortmund’s 3-2 win over Hamburger SV on Saturday.
As a result, Nmecha will be sidelined for “several weeks”.
This means he will be unavailable for Germany’s upcoming friendlies against Switzerland (27 March) and Ghana (30 March).
It is the second midfield injury setback for Germany this month, with Bayern Munich’s Aleksandar Pavlović previously forced to withdraw.
According to reports, Stuttgart’s Angelo Stiller is set to be called up as Pavlovic's replacement, while it's currently unclear who will replace Nmecha.
