It's been weeks since Bayer Leverkusen's Jonathan Tah was reported to have agreed personal terms on a move to Bayern Munich, but the deal is still not done as the two clubs haggle over the fee.

However, with Tah's contract expiring in 2025 and reports suggesting that Leverkusen are willing to lower their €40 million asking price, it is expected that a deal will eventually be struck.

As such, it makes sense for Leverkusen to look at possible replacements, and Bild suggests they have found one in Ajax and Croatia defender Josip Sutalo.

However, Die Werkself are unlikely to step up their interest in the 24-year-old until a deal for Tah has been agreed.

That leaves Leverkusen in an uncomfortable position, as they're far from the only suitors for Sutalo, who has also been linked with Fiorentina, West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion.

For that reason alone, Leverkusen would be wise not to wait too long to resolve the Tah situation.
