After dishing out a 4-0 thrashing to Eintracht Frankfurt at the Allianz Arena, Vincent Kompany spoke to DAZN at full-time.

The Bayern Munich head coach praised his side's composure and performance this evening against Die Adler who sit third in the Bundesliga.

"We've always stayed calm [after Leverkusen and Celtic] and we'll stay calm now as well. The two extra days did us a lot of good and it showed on the pitch today.

"We did exactly what we wanted. We played very well, created many chances and worked hard. Now we turn our focus to the next game, which we also want to win," the Belgian said.

The 38-year-old boss was also able to allay some fears regarding a potential injury to Joshua Kimmich.

"I don't think it's bad. We're in a phase of the season where there are many games and it's normal for some players not to be at 100% always," Kompany explained.

Kimmich was forced off with a suspected injury shortly before the half-time break as Leon Goretzka replaced him

Die Rekordmeister's boss concluded by saying he takes no heed of the media's criticism or lack of praise regarding Bayern's latest performances.

"That's not important to me. I'm doing this for the team, for the club and for the fans. My job is only to focus on our games. What's being said or written on the outside doesn't matter," stated Kompany.
