1. FC Heidenheim 1846 have strengthened their attacking options with the signing of Eren Dinkci from SC Freiburg on loan for the rest of the season.

The forward returns to the Voith-Arena after previously spending the 2023/24 season on loan at the club from Werder Bremen.

“Eren has already shown with us what exceptional footballing qualities he has in attack and that he is a perfect personal fit for our club. We are convinced that signing him until the end of the season will strengthen our team, and we would like to thank SC Freiburg for making this loan possible,” explained FC Heidenheim board chairman Holger Sanwald.

Dinkci, who hasn't featured for Freiburg since November, will be aiming for more regular playing time following his return.

“I’m very happy to be back at FCH. Whether within the club or the surrounding environment, I felt very comfortable in Heidenheim, which was a very important factor in my decision to join on this loan," he said.

“I now want to repay the trust placed in me with strong performances and help the team as much as possible until the end of the season so that we can secure our place in the league once again.”
