Hoffenheim loan Asllani out for second consecutive season

German-Kosovar attacker Fisnik Asllani of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim has received a new loan out ahead of the new season.

One year after loaning him out to the Austrian Bundesliga, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim have opted to send 21-year-old attacker Fisnik Asllani to the German second division for the 2024/25 campaign. The former Union Berlin academy man will spend the season in Saarland with SV Elversberg. Asllani scored four league goals and registered one assist for Austin Wien last year. He also netted a tally in the ÖFB Cup.

"Fisnik is a talented striker who has repeatedly demonstrated his potential with us in recent years," Pirmin Schwegler, Head of Professional Football at Hoffenheim, noted in a club statement, "However, due to the competitive situation in our Bundesliga squad, we decided last summer to loan him to the Austria Vienna so that Fisnik could gain as much match practice as possible at the highest possible level."

"We have now decided together with him to seek another loan and are firmly convinced that we have found a very good solution for everyone involved with SV Elversberg," Schwengler's statement continued, "We are confident that Fisnik will be able to take the next steps in his development there and then hit the ground running when he returns from his loan spell."
