HSV close to agreeing new deal for home-grown defensive gem Nandja

HSV look set to secure their homegrown talent on a long-term contract.

Hamburger SV are planning to extend the contract of talented youngster Shafiq Nandja, according to Sport BILD.

The 19-year-old homegrown player and HSV are close to reaching an agreement, with the proposed contract set to run until 2030.

With the signing is anticipated soon, signing a contract would be a second major career milestone in a very short time.

The centre-half was included in the squad for the first time in the Bundesliga against FC Augsburg which ended 1-1 last weekend.

Nandja's current deal, having made 21 appearances in the Regionalliga for HSV's reserves this season, expires in the summer.
