Kicker Report: Stuttgart and Brighton reach agreement on Undav transfer

Germany's preeminent footballing publication is now reporting that VfB Stuttgart and Brighton & Hove Albion have finally reached an agreement on the stalled Deniz Undav transfer.

After the player himself hit out at his parent club, EPL club Brighton & Hove Albion have apparently opted to settle the Deniz Undav matter. George Moissidis, the VfB Stuttgart correspondent for Germany's preeminent footballing publication, reports that Undav is headed to the BaWü capital permanently for a base-transfer-fee of €27 million. Moissidis claims that performance-related bonuses can push the transfer well over the €30 million mark.

In a joint piece written on Kicker's website, Moissidis and fellow German veteran footballing journalist Stephan van Nocks do acknowledge that it remains unclear as to whether Stuttgart have inched closer to Brighton's reported €50 million asking price. In an event, it does appear that - once Undav's salary hike is factored in - the 28-year-old will constitute a €50 million investment for the 2023/24 Bundesliga runners-up.
