Undav hits out at Brighton amid stalled negotiations with Stuttgart

Deniz Undav has taken a swipe at Brighton & Hove Albion and reiterated his desire to join VfB Stuttgart permanently.

Deniz Undav enjoyed a sensational 2023/24 campaign at VfB Stuttgart on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion, racking up 18 goals and 10 assists in 30 Bundesliga games.

Since the season ended, Stuttgart have been working on signing him permanently, but have yet to agree a transfer fee with Brighton.

The German international has now hit out at Brighton in a YouTube interview with boxer Agit Kabayel, saying:

“I feel comfortable in Stuttgart. I want to go to Stuttgart and hope it works out. It feels like they're negotiating every day now. Let's see what happens."

Undav also said that despite his impressive performances for Stuttgart last season, he “never really got any appreciation from Brighton”.

“Nobody looked after me. That just showed me: Stuttgart really want me, they love me. Nothing came from Brighton for a year,” the striker said.
