Kompany: "We had our chances, but didn't score"

Vincent Kompany bemoaned his side's missed chances after the defeat to Aston Villa.

Bayern Munich lost for the first time under Vincent Kompany on Wednesday, going down 1-0 to Aston Villa in the Champions League.

Analyzing the performance in a post-match interview with DAZN, Kompany said he felt his side created the chances they needed - they just didn't take them.

"If I'm being objective, we started the game well, we had a good 15 minutes, then we lost a bit of pace. Then I had the feeling that it could be dangerous out of nowhere. Nevertheless, we didn't allow any big chances," the 38-year-old explained.

“The second half was much better, we were in control, we made good runs forward and created great chances. We had our chances, but we didn't score,” Kompany added.
