Borussia Dortmund are on the brink of selling Jamie Gittens to Chelsea, with the winger’s €65 million move expected to be completed shortly.
According to local publication WAZ, the Black and Yellows plan to spend the majority of that fee on bolstering their attack.
Whether a one-to-one replacement for Gittens will be signed is unclear, as Dortmund are also considering reinforcements in other attacking positions, such as central attacking midfield.
PSV’s Johan Bakayoko has been a key target for some time. The 22-year-old right winger is reportedly open to a move to the Bundesliga club, though Monaco and Olympique Marseille are also said to be interested.
21-year-old attacking midfielder Omari Hutchinson, who plays for relegated Premier League side Ipswich Town, has also been mentioned as an option.
A return for former BVB winger Jadon Sancho, however, appears to be off the table.
“We currently have other ideas,” BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl has previously emphasized.
