Report: Man United hopeful of agreeing €51m deal for de Ligt

The Daily Mail reports that Manchester United are hoping to sign Bayern Munich's Matthijs de Ligt for 51 million.

Manchester United are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich.

According to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils are hoping to agree a €51 million fee with Bayern Munich for the Dutch centre-back.

De Ligt has made 73 appearances for Bayern since joining the German club from Juventus for a reported €67 million in 2022.

He's one of the players Bayern are believed to be willing to offload for the right price this summer and is said to be keen on a move to Manchester United, where he would be reunited with Erik ten Hag, who he played under at Ajax.

De Ligt is currently with the Netherlands squad for the European Championship. He hasn't played a minute in the tournament yet.
