Hummels to be left out of Germany's October squad

Kicker reports that Mats Hummels will not be part of the Germany squad to face Romania and North Macedonia in October.

The 32-year-old missed out on Flick's squad last month due to a knee issue, and the report claims he will not be called up this time either, having only just made his return from the injury.
Flick will definitely have to manage without Ilkay Gündogan (Manchester City) and Mahmoud Dahoud (Dortmund), who are both currently sidelined.
It is still open whether Robin Gosens will be available after he was forced off during Atalanta's 1-0 win over Young Boys in the Champions League yesterday.
Kicker further claims that Marc-André ter Stegen will make his return to the squad after recovering from an injury, with Frankfurt's Kevin Trapp making way for the FC Barcelona goalkeeper.
