Fantasy Bundesliga:
Template team and potential transfers for Matchday 13

By FBLThinker   @FBLThinker

After an interesting Matchday 12, where we witnessed the shock of the season so far, Augsburg defeating Bayern, as well as Gladbach unsurprisingly beating winless Fürth and Frankfurt defeating in-form Freiburg, we now look ahead to Matchday 13.

In this article, we take a look at our selected template team as well as the players we can target to bring in this matchday, using our 3 transfers.

In this regard, the word 'template' refers to players who are highly owned, regularly scoring good fantasy points and being main players for their teams.

Below, you'll find my template team for Matchday 13 and the latest Fantasy score of each player.

Defenders:
Raphaël Guerreiro (BVB, 14.6M , 13 pts
Christian Günter (SCF, 12.7M), 1 pts
Niko Gießelmann (FCU, 5.1M), 16 pts
Joe Scally (BMG, 3M), 6 pts
Jeremie Frimpong (B04, 8.7M), 18 pts

Midfielders:
Christopher Nkunku (RBL, 16.2M), 1 pts
Florian Wirtz (B04, 12.8M), 13 pts
Filip Kostić (SGE, 16M), 10 pts
Leon Goretzka (FCB, 15.4M), 5pts
Jonas Hofmann (BMG, 14.1M), 23 pts

Forwards:
Robert Lewandowski (FCB, 19.6M), 10 pts
Thomas Müller (FCB, 17.2M), 10 pts
Jonathan Burkardt (M05, 7.5M), 11 pts

TRANSFER 1:
Thomas Müller OUT, Andrej Kramarić IN

Kramaric was not risked against Leipzig after suffering a mild concussion, but he is back in team training and ready to face Fürth. Fürth conceded 4 goals in the last match against Gladbach and have conceded a league's highest 30 goals. Kramaric is the main player for Hoffenheim, having scored 2 goals and provided 6 assists, and is the main creator of chances. Müller also has a good game against Bielefeld, but he was involved in midweek UCL action, and a rested Kramaric against Furth could provide a huge point haul. Alternatively, if you have the funds, you could keep Müller and sell Burkhardt instead.

TRANSFER 2:
Florian Wirtz OUT, Vincenzo Grifo IN

The move may raise an eyebrow given Wirtz scored 13 points last week and Grifo managed only 10, but I believe that chasing last week's points never really works out, and players should be chosen keeping fixtures in mind. Grifo has a game against Bochum, who conceded 11 shots with 5 being on target last week. In addition, they have conceded 19 goals overall. Grifo had a good game against Frankfurt, being involved in set pieces, shots and creating chances and even had his shot being cleared off the goal line. Wirtz, on the other hand, has an away match against Leipzig, who have been good at home, and he may see a reduction in his point potential.

TRANSFER 3:
Raphael Guerreiro OUT, Alphonso Davies IN

Guerreiro picked up a muscular problem during warm up ahead of Dortmund's mid-week game against Sporting CP and did not take part in the match. Dortmund have confirmed, though, that the injury isn't serious, but he is a doubt for the weekend. Therefore, I'll be replacing him with Davies, one of the best the best attacking left backs in the league, who is playing for the most attacking team in the league. Davies played 90 minutes in the Champions League and is expected to start and play another full game, with Bayern struggling with many injuries and COVID cases. Bayern's upcoming opponent, Arminia, are known to concede a lot of shots and have conceded 1.50 goals per 90 minutes, which means Davies has a great chance of scoring points in attack as well as defence. If your budget allows it, you could swap Scally with Davies instead, but that would mean you would have to compromise in other parts of the team, so it is not suggested as an optimal move.
