Nani: Bayern wanted to sign me

Portuguese international Luis Nani reveals Bayern München wanted to sign him years ago.

After impressing at Sporting CP as a youngster, Luis Nani could have joined Bayern München, the Portuguese international reveals.

"In 2007, just before I left Sporting, Bayern wanted me. At the time, there was a large group of very good teams that wanted me," Nani told Bild.

However, Nani opted to sign for Manchester United instead.

"My advisor and I decided so, because everything seemed to fit. We thought I could develop thh fastest there, but the Bundesliga is still a great league with good times," Nani said.

Last summer, the Portuguese international decided to move back to Sporting CP.
