Bayern set deadline for Sané to make final decision on future

According to Sport1, Bayern Munich have set a deadline for Leroy Sané to decide if he wants to accept their contract offer or not.

Leroy Sané is set to make a decision soon on whether he wants to remain at Bayern Munich or leave the club on a free transfer when his contract expires this summer.

According to Sport1, Bayern have set a deadline for the winger to respond to their final contract offer by Friday. The proposed deal includes a base salary of €10 million per year, with the potential to earn up to €5 million in bonuses.

Sané seemed on the verge of accepting the deal, he then changed course by switching to the high-profile agent Pini Zahavi.

According to reports, Sané and his new representative returned to Bayern with a counter-offer: €12 million in fixed salary, plus €3 million in potential bonuses. The club, however, seem unwilling to adjust their original proposal.

If the former Manchester City winger fails to reach an agreement with Bayern, a return to England could be on the cards, with both Arsenal and Chelsea reportedly showing interest.
