Last summer, Bayern Munich came close to signing Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen, but the move fell through after the two clubs failed to agree on a transfer fee.

Now - a year later - Tah could potentially end up at Säbener Strasse after all.

According to Sky Germany, Bayern have reignited their interest in the 29-year-old, who will leave Bayer Leverkusen as a free agent when his contract expires this summer.

The report suggests that the club’s management see him as the ideal replacement for Eric Dier, who will not be offered a new contract.

Bayern are reportedly ready to offer Tah an attractive long-term deal, with the final decision now resting with the player.

Barcelona are considered the main alternative and remain hopeful of beating Bayern to Tah's signature despite their ongoing financial difficulties.
