Frankfurt confirm signing of Salzburg defender
Jerome Onguéné will be joining Eintracht Frankfurt from RB Salzburg this summer.
In a statement on Friday, Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed the signing of Jerome Onguéné from RB Salzburg on a contract until 2027.
The 24-year-old centre-back will join Frankfurt on a free transfer when his contract expires this summer.
"With Jérôme Onguéné, we are adding further substance to our defense and giving it more flexibility. Jérôme has many years of professional experience, including at the highest international level, and yet at the age of 24 he is far from the end of his development," said Eintracht board member for sport Markus Krösche.
"It is certainly special that we are bringing in a player, who at his young age has already appeared numerous times in the Champions League. It speaks volumes for Eintracht Frankfurt to sign such a player."
