A late injury to Arminia Bielefeld striker Fabian Klos in a weekend draw with VFB Stuttgart remains one of the more haunting images emanating from the most recent round of Bundesliga action. It was immediately apparent that Klos' injury was very severe, as evidenced by the fact that opposing team striker Sasa Kalajdzic immediately offered assistance the DSC medical team and went so far as to carry the stretcher onto the field himself.

The serious nature of the head-injury continues to leave many worried. The club has not come anywhere close to sounding an "all clear" in the last two days. The only new news to be had on Tuesday concerned the fact that Klos actually underwent surgery for complications related to the knock. No further details were given, but it's possible that swelling may have forced Klos under the knife.

In a statement released by the club, it was stated that Klos was "fully conscious". Thanks for the 34-year-old for all of the recovery wishes sent in by fans were also imparted. At this juncture, it remains very much unclear if Klos will ever feature again for the club he's spent 11 seasons representing. The Gifhorn-natvie will be leaving East Westphalia after the season.
