Kicker Report: Dortmund seek to acquire Sesko alongside Adeyemi

Almost certainly not content to sign just one striker to replace Erling Haaland, German footballing magazine Kicker reports that RB Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko tops the list of Borussia Dortmund attacker targets.
If the injury-riddled Erling Haaland years have taught Dortmund anything, it's that one influential target forward on the roster is simply not enough to maintain a consistent challenge for the Bundesliga title. With Karim Adeyemi's purchase due to be finalized soon, the BVB reportedly wants to pluck another striker from the Salzburg ranks this summer.

Germany's preeminent footballing publication reports that Dortmund have narrowed their circle of candidates to young and successful attackers for whom room for improvement means that the transfer fee will not be astronomically high. Players fitting the bill include Hugo Ekitike (19-years-of-age, Stade Reims) and Adam Hlozek (19-years-of-age, Sparta Prague).

The preferred candidate nevertheless remains Adeyemi's RB colleague, Benjamin Sesko. The 18-year-old lit up the Austrian Bundesliga on loan at Liefering and has contributed ten goals and seven assists in 33 appearances back in Salzburg thus far this season. Kicker reports that the teenager's agent has been in attendance for the last two BVB home games.

Considered a massive prospect, Sesko has also been linked with a switch to Bayern. Sesko's current estimated market value of €8 million is expected to skyrocket much the way Haaland's did if he can continue along his current production trajectory.
