Virkus confirms Favre won't become new Gladbach coach
Gladbach sporting director Roland Virkus has revealed that Lucien Favre will not replace Adi Hütter as coach.
Lucien Favre has turned down the chance to succeed Adi Hütter as Borussia Mönchengladbach coach.
"Borussia has a place in Lucien Favre's heart, but he doesn't want to work in Germany any more," said Gladbach sporting director Roland Virkus.
"You can be sure that we did everything, but I don't think that Lucien will be the next head coach of Borussia."
Gladbach will now have to find a viable alternative to Favre.
"It is essential for the future of the club that we make the right decision on the coaching issue. We have drawn up a clear profile of requirements and are currently in talks with several candidates," stated Virkus.
