Official: Hoffenheim confirm Angelino deal

Angelino has officially joined Hoffenheim on loan from RB Leipzig.
Hoffenheim have completed the signing of Angelino on a season-long loan deal from RB Leipzig.

"Angeliño is a player who has outstanding footballing skills and has already proven them over a long period of time both in the Bundesliga and on the European football stage," said Hoffenheim director of professional football Alexander Rosen.

"The fact that a player in this category consciously and with full conviction chooses TSG despite the fact that he can actually select his league and club category in his current situation is something special and shows what kind of standing we have now achieved."

Angelino's move to Hoffenheim has come about after David Raum, who also plays as a left-back, went in the opposite direction.

"Three weeks ago, it was not expected that I would wear the TSG Hoffenheim jersey. Now I'm here and I'm really looking forward to it," stated Angeliño.

"I almost joined TSG in January 2020, so both sides didn't have to get to know each other for long. Therefore, the conditions to quickly find each other were very good.

"My recent talks with those responsible have also confirmed this and the intensive efforts made to get me showed me that Hoffenheim is the right choice. I feel a great desire to help shape the modern, offensive and inspiring football, which TSG stands for, this season."
