In a freak accident during the 87th minute of Freiburg's away win against Stuttgart, the ball bounced off Matthias Ginter and fractured Maximilian Eggestein's forearm. At that point, Freiburg had already used their allotted five substitutes, forcing the midfielder to play the rest of the game.

Stuttgart supporters believed Eggestein was time-wasting, but that was clearly not the case. It's unclear how long the 25-year-old will be out of action, as Eggestein hasn't missed a second of Freiburg's season thus far.

Players such as Daniel-Kofi Kyereh, Yannik Keitel and Merlin Röhl are suitable replacements if Eggestein is unable to continue.
