Multiple Sources: Bayern and Gladbach finalize Sommer transfer

Virtually all German media sources are now reporting that Borussia Mönchengladbach have accepted FC Bayern München's latest offer for keeper Yann Sommer.

After a medical later today, the 34-year-old Swiss international should be available to train with his new teammates at Bayern's final pre-match training session tomorrow.

he seemingly endless saga of FC Bayern München's attempts to pluck keeper Yann Sommer from Borussia Mönchengladbach as a replacement for the injured Manuel Neuer is reportedly now finished. Switzerland's Blick, Sky Germany, German tabloid "Sport Bild", and German broadcaster "Sport1" all now confirm this.

Sport Bild claims that Bayern upped their last offer for the veteran net-minder by approximately €500,000 in additional performance-based bonuses. The foals shall claim a base transfer fee of €8 million for their #1 with a potential to earn another €1.5 million over the course of time.

With Gladbach - also according to visually all German media sources - already having their preferred replacement for Sommer lined up, there seems little reason to doubt the reports. At a press conference earlier today, FCB head-coach Julian Nagelsmann essentially confirmed that he expected to receive another keeper in time for tomorrow's training session.
