Sky Report: Beşiktaş interested in Augsbug's Iago

Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg reports that Beşiktaş JK are interested in acquiring Augsburg left-back "Iago" Amaral Borduchi.
After concluding their fourth and fifth new January signings today, FC Augsburg possess a potentially unsustainable 33-man-payroll on their professional roster. It would make sense to infer that the roster will be shaved down by potentially two to three actors before the current transfer window concludes.

With Carlos Gruezo's departure nearly completed, Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg reports that Brazilian left-back Iago may be the next player out the door. The recent acquisition of David Colina leaves head-coach Enrico Maaßen with four left backs on the roster. Colina and Iago play the same position as Mads Pedersen and the recently promoted academy player Aaron Zehnter.

The Fugerstädter may be tempted to cash in on Iago, despite the fact that the left-footer has been a regular starter for Maaßen this season. the 25-year-old maintains an estimated market worth of some €5.5 million in the latest transfermarkt listings. Pletttenberg claims that Beşiktaş Istanbul are interesting in acquire the feisty defender.

A possible stumbling block to any sort of move remains the player's current injury status. Iago has already been ruled out of this Sunday's match against Dortmund with Achilles tendon problems. The former Internacional academy man could still be available to face Augsburg's other opponents, Gladbach and Freiburg, during the coming packed "English Week".
