Multiple sources: Bayern set to land Cancelo

Joao Cancelo is reportedly close to joining Bayern Munich on loan from Manchester City.
Bayern Munich are understood to be close to wrapping up a deal for Manchester City right-back Joao Cancelo.

According to several reports, the German champions are set to sign the 28-year-old on loan until the end of the season.

With Noussair Mazraoui sidelined indefinitely by a post-COVID heart problem, Benjamin Pavard and Josip Stanisic have competed to start on the right side of defence for Bayern in 2023 so far.

Cancelo has watched Manchester City's last two Premier League games from the bench. His contract with the club runs until 2027.
