SpVgg sporting director Rachid Azzouzi revealed that he wished to extend Ache's loan in an interview with Germany's main sporting tabloid. Azzouzi told "Sport Bild" that he had been working on an extension for some months whilst staying in close exchange with his SGE counterpart Markus Krösche.
"I've been in talks with Markus Krösche since November," Azzouzi said, "I've seen what's possible. Hardly any other club can offer him as an opportunity in such a positive environment as we can."
Whether a loan extension makes sense from Eintracht's perspective remains to be seen. The Hessen-based club themselves look to be in line for a massive summer rebuild after several stars - including current lead striker Randal Kolo Muani - make the leap to larger clubs over the summer.
Ache has one top flight goal to his credit, scoring off the bench for Frankfurt against SC Freiburg on the final matchday of the 2020/21 campaign. He registered an assist for the SGE on the opening matchday of the 2021/22 campaign. Beyond those two instances, he hasn't gotten on the scoresheet for the German Eagles in 24 appearances across all competitions.
