Report: Copenhagen possess €2.2 million purchase clause for Larsson
Swedish attacker Jordan Larsson has expressed his desire to remain with loan club FC Copenhagen whilst speaking to Denmark's Ekstra Bladet tabloid.
According to Germany's "Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung", the purchase clause in the 25-year-old's loan agreement totals €2.2 million.
Since being shipped out on loan in January, FC Schalke 04 attacker Jordan Larsson has made eight appearances for FC Copenhagen across all competitions and scored one goal for the Danish capital city side. Speaking to Denmark's Ekstra Bladet tabloid, the Swedish international has declared himself comfortable in his new home up north and expressed the wish to remain.
According to Germany's "Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung", the purchase clause in the 25-year-old's loan agreement totals €2.2 million.
"The club has an option to buy me," Larsson revealed, "so it's up to them what they do. But I am very happy here and would like to stay."
Given that there were open questions about his lack of effort for Schalke, it's likely that Germany's Königsblauen would like to offload him. The price-tag may nevertheless prove problematic. Germany's "Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung" claims that the purchase option totals some €2.2 million.
This remains well below Larsson's current estimated market worth of €4 million, but still seems a rather high amount for the Danish club to shell out. Larsson will be due back in Gelsenkirchen at the end of the season on a contract with his parent club that still runs through 2025.
