Report: Götze has low release clause in his Frankfurt contract

Sport1 reports that Mario Götze could leave Eintracht Frankfurt via a low release clause.
Last summer, Eintracht Frankfurt activated a €3 million release clause to sign Mario Götze from PSV.

Now, the 30-year-old attacking midfielder could leave the club in a similar fashion.

According to Sport1, Götze has a low seven-figure release clause in his contract, which runs until 2025.

Accordingly, the Bundesliga outfit could face a battle to keep hold of the 30-year-old this summer.

At the moment, however, there are no signs of a departure. A good argument for him to stay would be to qualify for Europe again next year. A win over RB Leipzig in the DFB-Pokal final on June 3 would guarantee that.
