After (for all intents and purposes) clinching another season of Bundesliga football next year on the season's penultimate matchday, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim confirmed that they had no further use for two Danish internationals acquired on loan this past January. Kasper Dolberg (OGC Nice) and Thomas Delaney (FC Sevilla) are both headed back to their parent clubs.

Neither player made much of an impact for die Kraichgauer as the Sinsheim-based club turned their fortunes around and avoided relegation. Dolberg did manage to score one goal off the bench amid 13 appearances. The Danish striker also netted a tally in the Pokal. Delaney proved ineffective in five starts across all competitions and barely featured after the 23rd matchday.
