In an article appearing in the Monday print edition of Germany's Kicker Magazine, German footballing journalist Andreas Hunziger reports that Union Berlin's recent signing of Czech midfielder Alex Kral should herald the departure of Magdeburg native Paul Seguin from Köpenick. The 28-year-old midfielder - who joined Union on free last summer - has grown frustrated with his prospects and has requested a transfer.

Hunziger lists 2023/24 relegation candidates FC Augsburg and VfL Bochum as potentially interested parties. Ostensibly, newly promoted 1. FC Heidenheim and SV Darmstadt 98 might be interested in the veteran as well. Seguin made 23 appearances for Union across all competitions this past season, but only made it into Urs Fischer's starting XI eight times.

In a blurb appearing on Kicker's website later in the day, it is also claimed that striker Sven Michel is considering transferring out of Köpenick. The 32-year-old initially brought in as a quick replacement for Max Kruse in January 2022 has also failed to crack Fischer's XI on a regular basis, starting just four times in 29 appearances across all competitions.

Hannover 96 are said to be interested in bidding for the 32-year-old's services. Michel did manage to score six goals off the bench this year in Bundesliga, cup, Europa league appearances. His current estimated market worth stands at €1.2 million. Michel's current contract with die Eisernen expires at the end of next season.

Kicker also references Eintracht Braunschweig's to report that the second-tier club wishes to purchase winger Keita Endo outright. FCU manager Oliver Ruhnert initially noted that he expected the 25-year-old back after a season-long-loan was confirmed last summer. Braunschweig's website notes that the Lower Saxon club is "currently in exchange" with Union over a permanent transfer.
