Seoane claims Honorat's transfer to Gladbach is near

Speaking to journalist Jan Lustig of Germany's preeminent footballing publication, new Borussia Mönchengladbach head-coach Gerardo Seoane has confirmed that the incoming transfer of French winger Franck Honorat should be finalized soon.
One of Borussia Mönchengladbach's top transfer targets should be on the verge of joining the Fohlenelf. Stade Brest winger Franck Honorat - a much needed replacement for the departed Jonas Hofmann - will presumably be unveiled in the next few days. This is according to none other than BMG trainer Gerardo Seoane, who spoke on the matter in response to an inquiry from Jan Lustig of Germany's Kicker Magazine.

"With this personnel matter, we're all pretty confident that this will go through in the next few days," Seoane noted whilst speaking to Lustig at the Gladbach training ground on Sunday, "There's no need to be secretive about it. In terms of personnel and profile, he [Honorat] is someone who can replace Jonas, though not strictly."

Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has recently reported that Honorat will be purchased for a fee in the €6-8 million range and is set to sign either a three-or-four-year-deal. The 26-year-old collected 11 scorer points (six goals and five assists) for Brest in Ligue 1 last season. He made 35 appearances for his French club across all competitions.
