Eintracht Frankfurt are apparently looking to strengthen at left-back. According to Bild, the Bundesliga side have targeted AS Saint-Etienne's Niels Nkounkou.

The report claims that Eintracht are prepared to pay around €3-4 million for the 22-year-old. Whether that's enough for Saint-Etienne remains to be seen.

Nkounkou spent the second half of last season on loan at Saint-Etienne from Everton and emerged as a key player, scoring six goals and providing eight assists in 20 appearances in the French second division.

Saint-Etienne then made his loan move permanent for a reported fee of €2 million, tying him to the club until 2026.
