TSG Hoffenheim have announced the extension of Danish attacker Jacob Bruun Larsen's contract until 2025.

In the same announcement, the Bundesliga club also revealed that Bruun Larsen will spend the upcoming season on loan at newly-promoted Premier League side Burnley FC.

"Jacob is a highly gifted attacking player who brings an incredible amount of talent to the table. It is unfortunate that such a gifted player has only been able to show the rudiments of his potential in recent years. He had his fair share of playing time, but unfortunately he was not able to consistently perform at the top of his game for TSG," commented Hoffenheim chief Alexander Rosen, who also pointed out that "Jacob's injury history has repeatedly slowed him down" during his spell at the club.

"In very focused discussions, we have now come to the joint decision that a loan transfer would be good for Jacob. At Burnley FC, he will now be reunited with his former coach at RSC Anderlecht, Vincent Kompany, with whom he already worked successfully in Belgium.
