Stuttgart confirm Undav signing

Deniz Undav has been unveiled as a new VfB Stuttgart player. He joins the Bundesliga club on loan from Brighton.
VfB Stuttgart have announced the signing of 27-year-old striker Deniz Undav on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion. Germany's Kicker Magazine reports that the Swabians have paid a €700,000 loan-fee for the attacker. Stuttgart also receive a purchase option in the double-digit million range as part of the deal.

VfB sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth commented:

"In Deniz, we’re getting a player who has demonstrated his qualities in different countries and leagues, most recently in the Premier League. He’s at the perfect age for a footballer and will adapt to the Bundesliga quickly. We’re delighted Deniz chose to come to VfB and we welcome him warmly to Stuttgart."

Deniz Undav, who scored eight goals in 30 games for Brighton last season, said:

"I’m over the moon to be playing in the Bundesliga. VfB made a lot of effort to sign me, so I knew quickly that I wanted to come here. The discussions with the coach were very good and I’m looking forward to getting started with the team."
